Mazda's new compact SUV concept car, which appeared in the form of Minage on the Geneva Motor Show, is known as the Mazda CX-5.The concept car debuted at the 2011 New York International Auto Show while the production-ready vehicle was exposed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
The CX-9 is powered by a four-cylinder 2.5 turbo engine, putting out 227 HP @ 5,000 rpm and 310 Lb-Ft of torque at 2,000 rpm. The transmission is 6-speed automatic, with steering wheel paddle shifters, and an AWD drive train. Fuel economy is 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway for a combined 23 mpg.
